“Not so! They have disappointed many Catalans! ” This was main statement of television language of Catalan regional president Carles Puigdemont, which was eagerly awaited on Wednesday evening. This meant that Spanish King Felipe VI, who speaks excellent Catalan, had his own romance language, which most Spaniards do not understand from or regions.
The orwise constantly smiling Puigdemont wore a black suit, had a black tie wrapped and worked in semi-darkness of Gothic government palace in old town of Barcelona deeply grieved. On eve of evening, Felipe had also held a television speech and attacked leadership in Barcelona sharply: y were law-breakers who split society, which ignored will of majority of population.
The King thus referred to figures from referendum on independence of region on Sunday, which Spanish Constitutional Court had declared illegal. Despite attempts by National police to block polling stations, with numerous brutal assaults, according to regional government, 2.2 million people took part in it, which was 90 per cent for secession of Kingdom of voted. But voting rights were 5.3 million.

Felipe did not have a single word of regret in evening about crackdown on police, nor did he urge dialogue. Rar, he simply called for Catalonia to be subordinate to Madrid. It is not to be said that Constitution, which is framework of democracy, will be broken by politicians in Barcelona.

Commentators of Catalan media took this sentence to point out that monarchy in Spain had also been re-introduced by a constitutional break. 1931 country had been given a democratically legitimized constitution for first time, in which Republic was established as a form of government. The rebellious general Francisco Franco, with his attack on legitimate government of 1936, destroyed constitutional order and thus dissolved civil war.
