Police are looking for at least one gunman responsible for three carjackings in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
The most recent in the string occurred Sunday in the 5400 block of West Augusta Boulevard about 12:20 a.m., police said in a Community Alert issued about the attacks.
The same attacker or attackers are responsible for two others — on Jan. 27 in the 500 block of North Lockwood Avenue at 11 a.m. and Jan. 20 in the 5400 block of West Rice Street at 10 p.m., police said.
The people responsible were described as males between the ages of 14 and 35 who are between 5-foot-9 to 6-feet tall, weigh between 150 to 170 pounds and who were wearing all dark clothing, police said.
