The Japanese phenom allowed three home runs at Yankee Stadium on Thursday afternoon, leaving the mound after just three innings in a 6-1 Los Angeles Angels loss to the Yankees.

Matt Carpenter and Gleyber Torres first each hit a long solo ball against Ohtani in the first inning, then Aaron Judge in turn powered the ball over the fence in the third at the expense of the Japanese gunner.
Ohtani (3-4) allowed four runs and eight hits while his ERA has increased to 3.99 since the start of the season.
The Yankees, for their part, benefited from a good performance by starter Nestor Cortes (5-1), who shut out the Angels for seven innings in addition to making seven strikeouts.
