A 25-year-old woman was hospitalized overnight from Friday to Saturday after being hit by a car in Old Montreal.
The collision took place around 4 a.m. on rue Saint-Jacques, not far from rue Saint-Pierre. After the impact, the car fled. “However, thanks to information from witnesses, the fugitive was caught and will soon be questioned by the police,” said Véronique Comtois, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The young pedestrian was hospitalized, her condition still remains to be known by the SPVM police officers.
The scene is currently protected and investigators from the collision investigation section will analyze it to understand the circumstances of this event.
