Nearly a quarter of job seekers have found employment in their county of residence, and one in five to more than 50 kilometers, according to a survey of job center presented Tuesday on the occasion of a debate on the theme of “inequalities of the territories in the face of unemployment”.
Completed in November 2018, over 4500 job seekers, the study was unveiled during a morning debate in which the theme of mobility has been the red thread.
23% of job seekers have found employment in their local area, 19% within 10 km, 29% of 10 to 30 km, 9% of 30 to 50 km, and 20% to more than 50 km from their place of residence.
40% of jobs are concentrated in the ten largest urban areas, pointed out Stéphane Ducatez, director of studies of the public operator, with a ratio of “1 to 4” the unemployment rate according to the territories.
