Paratransit providers in Montreal deplore the inaction of the Quebec Minister of Transport (MTQ) in the face of “the imminence of a shortage” and are calling for emergency measures.

“Currently, paratransit and accessible transportation services are compromised by skyrocketing gas prices, indirect competition from regular taxis, in addition to the inadequacy and inadequacy of the ministerial subsidy program,” Yung said. Contacted by TVA Nouvelles on Sunday, the MTQ cabinet assured that “on specific assistance for adapted transport, the minister has requested a review of the aid programs to see how we can better support adapted taxis in the short term”.
