Ahumados Domínguez, the first company to produce smoked salmon in Spain 63 years ago, is growing in Spain with the opening of its first store in the Canary Islands with El Corte Inglés, according to a statement.

Specifically, the brand has landed in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria inside the El Corte Inglés supermarket with a ‘corner’ in which it offers an instant knife cutting service, as well as the entire range of the house’s products ready for carry and a wide assortment of products sold by weight.

Among the new features of this space, its two side areas stand out, dedicated to gastronomic experiences around the world of smoked meats. Two bars where customers can taste different preparations using the house’s products.

This opening is part of the company’s expansion ‘roadmap’ that has been set for 2023, being the brand’s first store outside the Iberian Peninsula.

In addition, this year the Madrid brand has launched a renovation project for some of its stores to adapt them to a more current aesthetic that reflects the values ​​and essence of the company with a completely updated design.

The CEO of Ahumados Domínguez, Pedro Mestanza, has highlighted the commitment to the ‘restyling’ of the spaces. “The renovation of all stores is one of the priorities for the coming years,” he stressed.

With this opening there are now 13 stores that Ahumados Domínguez has in various El Corte Inglés and Hipercor centers, which are located in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Sotogrande, Marbella and Las Palmas, in addition to distributing its products to countries such as Portugal or Italy .
