The Galician technology company Altia, owned by Incio Inversores – the holding company of Josefa Ortega, sister of the founder of Inditex and the richest man in Spain, Amancio Ortega – has been awarded a project by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). ) valued at 4.5 million euros, as reported by the company in a statement.
Specifically, the ‘Eccairs2’ project (European Coordination Center for Accident and Incident Notification Systems, for its acronym in English) has been awarded for the evolution and maintenance of the EASA air incident reporting information system, a contract whose duration will be four years.
In this sense, ‘Eccairs2’ integrates national aviation authorities and European security investigation authorities and its mission is to provide a digital platform that allows the application of the provisions defined in the European regulation regarding the notification of events in aviation. civil.
“Eccairs helps aviation authorities collect, share and analyze their safety information with the ultimate goal of improving aviation safety,” added Altia.
The Galician technology company began the development of ‘Eccairs2’ in 2019 through its subsidiary Bilbomática and, as highlighted, the system is used by the different national authorities and aviation safety organizations of the Member States, as well as construction companies. “More than 5,000 users that will reach 20,000 in 2025,” he detailed.
In this way, Altia is responsible for the evolution, maintenance and training activities of this system for the next four years.
