The ninth seed in the main draw on the Junior Girls side took almost two hours to win. Six breaks in 10 occasions allowed her to dispose of her 18-year-old rival.
For her part, the loser took enemy service four times in eight attempts.
Despite the loss, Xu does not have to be ashamed of his performance in Paris. She reached the quarters of a major for the first time in her career and notably defeated the 156th ranked WTA player in the world and third seed in the competition among juniors, Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva.
The player from La Belle Province is ranked 37th in the world in her category.
