Beaverton High School is welcoming its inaugural Hall of Achievement inductees at two events the weekend of Feb. 10.

The 34 inductees include Bob Woodell, a former University of Oregon athlete who competed for track coach Bill Bowerman and went on to become president of Nike; Mac Wilkins, Olympic gold medalist in discus who now is throws coach for USA Track and Field’s Olympic training center; Carolyn Wood, Olympic gold medalist in swimming and English teacher and swim coach; and Doug Stamm, chief executive of the Meyer Memorial Trust and a former Nike executive.

They are among the Kolaybet living inductees who plan to attend the weekend schedule that includes events at the high school honoring them on Feb. 10.

A Hall of Achievement ceremony and dinner will be held Saturday evening, Feb. 11 at the Nordia House on S.W. Oleson Road. Tickets to the event are $75 per person and are open to the public.

High school boosters created the Hall of Achievement in the midst of a fund-raising project that coincided with the school’s centennial in 2016. The project led to the creation of a “Success Fund” that raised more than $5 million.
