BARCELONA, Oct. 19, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Grupo Bimbo, the world’s largest bakery, and FC Barcelona have signed an agreement whereby the global brand BIMBO® becomes a Global Partner of the Club and a Main Partner of the women’s first team An alliance whose strategic axes are the commitment to female talent and equity, the promotion of nutrition and healthy lifestyles and the promotion of young talent. This is the first time that the company of Mexican origin sponsors a women’s soccer team.
Through this alliance, both organizations will work with the aim of having a positive impact on society, through the promotion of habits that contribute to greater well-being of people and also to build a more sustainable environment.
The official presentation of the agreement took place this Wednesday at the Auditori de la Masia, in an act that included Juli Guiu, vice-president of the FC Barcelona Marketing Area, while Alberto Levy, VP Global Marketing, and Rosa Alabau, responsible for Bimbo global Marketing. On behalf of Barça, the first team players Alexia Putellas, Jana Fernández and Salma Paralluelo also attended.
Within the framework of the agreement, in addition to being a global partner of the Club and Main Partner of the women’s soccer team, BIMBO® will also collaborate – with the aim of promoting new talent – with La Masia, the FC Barcelona training center that has become an international benchmark in the field of sports and human training; the Barça Academy, the Club’s international school project.
