LONDON, Nov. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Paramount and Virgin Media today announced a new multi-year distribution deal, expanding their existing long-term partnership across Paramount’s linear channels and streaming services in the UK.

The partnership renewal will see Paramount, the global video-on-demand (SVOD) service, debut on Virgin TV in 2023. Full integration of the app into Virgin Media set-top boxes will give customers the opportunity to access more 8,000 hours of exclusive original movies, blockbusters and iconic series across all genres from world-renowned Paramount brands and production studios, including SHOWTIME® and Paramount Pictures.

Under the new deal, Pluto TV, the leading free ad-supported television (FAST) service, will also gain wider distribution in the UK on Virgin Media’s cutting-edge TV360 and Stream services, reaching new customers and providing access to over 100 curated channels, including Hell’s Kitchen, CSI: Miami and MTV Movie Hits, seasonal and themed channels like Pluto TV Halloween and Pluto TV Crime, and a range of on-demand movies and series. In 2023, Pluto TV’s range of channels will also launch in a dedicated FAST section of Virgin TV’s electronic program guide, allowing customers to access channels seamlessly.

Virgin Media TV customers will continue to enjoy thousands of hours of entertainment from Paramount, MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon’s pay-TV brands, as well as continued distribution of the free-to-air Channel 5 brand, its portfolio of digital channels. and Channel 5’s My5 on-demand service.
