The skyline for Lake Ivanhoe and north downtown Orlando could change with plans for 10-story apartments.
Alliance Realty Partners submitted plans to Orlando for 288 units with ground-floor space for live/work apartments near 1620 North Orange Avenue and 301 N. Ivanhoe Blvd. As proposed, it would be called Broadstone Lakehouse.
The project would be the latest of several residential projects planned for the area framed by Interstate 4 and known loosely known as the North Quarter.
Another project proposed for the North Quarter, being called The Yard at Ivanhoe or Ivanhoe Place, would bring 630 apartments as well as retail shops to Alden Road and Virginia Drive. Described as bringing together "industrial heritage" and an established neighborhood, the project by Real Estate Inverlad is in the early construction phases.
And nearby, a team including designer Phil Kean has proposed élan at Marks. As planned, it would feature 10 townhomes with four stories, garages, small yards, two or three bedrooms, elevators and rooftop terraces on about a third of an acre of property near Lake Highland Prep and just east of North Magnolia Avenue
