The IV Solidarity March ‘Help us Achieve Smiles throughout Extremadura’ will celebrate its fourth edition this Saturday, through a route that will begin at the Hernán Cortés Residence and end in the spaces of the El Faro shopping center, where children’s activities will be launched , raffles and a concert, among other commemorative activities.

As explained by the manager of El Faro, Paulo Belchior, “the shopping center shows once again its firm commitment to activities that involve the promotion of sports and collaboration in solidarity projects.” This fourth edition of the march, organized by the Hernán Cortés Residence of Badajoz and the Extremadura Oncological Association (AOEX), has the objective of raising funds for the AOEX Children’s Oncology Project.

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m., with the novelty that this year it will offer a wide variety of activities for all participants. Thus, the already recognized awards and mentions events will take place, the launch of a solidarity table and a raffle with different prizes.

The little ones will also be able to enjoy the day with a greeting to the Vonco stuffed animal, the official mascot of the event, and some lively face painting and balloon twisting sessions, while a small concert by Amalia Toboso and Pedro Monty will create “a perfect atmosphere for everyone.” .

Regarding the route of the march, this will be 7.5 kilometers, starting from the Hernán Cortes residence and passing through the streets, Godofredo Ortega Muñoz, Tomás Romero de Castilla, Doroteo Morales Benítez, Dominican Republic, Santarém, Paseo Fluvial, Avenida Santa Marina, Puente de Palmas, Parque de Guadiana – Avenida de Elvas and Santiago Soutullo, to end in El Patio of the El Faro shopping center (leisure and restaurant area).

Participants can register for the race at the headquarters of the Extremadura Oncological Association, at Customer Service at the El Faro Shopping Center or at the Hernán Cortés Residence. As explained by the organization, registration has a symbolic price of five euros that can be deposited by bank transfer, bizum or in cash.
