A six-bedroom, 6,100-square-foot North Side mansion that former Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland and his wife once owned came back on the market Feb. 3 for $2.25 million.
Bolland, who skated for the Blackhawks from 2006 until 2013, and his wife, Julia, bought the brick and limestone house new in late 2009 for $1.78 million. After he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2013, the Bollands sold the mansion in the Lathrop Homes neighborhood of the Lincoln Park community area late that year for $1.95 million.

Now, the home’s current owner has placed it on the market. Situated on an extra-wide lot, the house has 5½ baths; custom millwork, crown molding; 4-inch select-cut hardwood floors; an elevator; four fireplaces; a butler’s pantry; a kitchen with stone countertops, commercial-grade appliances and a built-in banquette; a penthouse-level family room with a walk-out deck; and a three-car garage with a sport court above it.
"It’s a spectacular house on an extra-wide property," listing agent Rachel Krueger of Coldwell Banker said. "It’s a special home because of its width and location, and my clients did an outstanding job decorating after Dave Bolland owned it. It’s highly upgraded throughout and it’s in a prime location."
