Ferndales Bridal has relocated on Tustin Street in Orange, hopping from its longtime location to a neighboring strip mall.
The bridal boutique, at 368 Tustin St., is in the same plaza as Fowler Gun Room and The Makeup Shack. Ferndales moved in January from a shop it had occupied for 30 years.
Tom Linnert, who owns Ferndales with his wife, Connie, said the store’s previous location was sold to an investment company.
“They were planning to turn it into a three-tenant unit, and that was going to cost us parking spots,” said Linnert, who is also an Orange resident. He bought the business in 2005.
The new space is smaller than the old space but has more usable space, Linnert said. The previous location had two levels, but it didn’t meet accessibility rules for the disabled, so Linnert said only the staff could use it.
Ferndales Bridal has been in Orange County for more than 60 years. The family-owned business offers bridal dresses from $200 to $2,000. It also offers formal dresses and tuxedo rentals.
