The Socofe has a new boss. It is Jean-Marie Bréban, the current director of Wallonia within the Belfius bank. This choice was approved Thursday morning by the board of directors of the Socofe, while he still had 5 names on a short list, learned in The Evening.
The Socofe is little known to the general public, but yet she is one of the most important holdings in wallonia, mainly public. Specialized in the energy, it is she who holds the units of the walloon municipalities in the transport networks of electricity and gas (Fluxys and Elia), but also shares in the electricity provider, EDF Luminus and in different offshore wind farms off the coast of Ostend.
