ISTANBUL, July 14, 2023/PRNewswire/ — Arçelik A. Ş. (ARCLK: IST, “Arçelik”), a leading global manufacturer of consumer durables and electronics, has launched MARS, an e-commerce platform to improve sales operations and provide a seamless experience for trading partners.

The MARS platform digitizes manual orders, placed by phone, fax and email, to offer trading partners an efficient and seamless B2C-like customer experience. The platform streamlines business processes between all Arçelik Global subsidiaries, streamlines sales order processing and increases visibility with a channel where customers can easily access related data and 24/7 support, providing helps drive efficiency and data security.

The new platform will process millions of sales of global products that Arçelik receives annually, alleviating the heavy operational burden on local sales offices, which previously manually processed up to 50% of orders.

After implementing the MARS portal, Arçelik subsidiaries reported achievements such as efficiency and simplicity thanks to mobile support, the ability to reach physically remote customers, and the elimination of human error. With the help of the MARS project, the average time to create an order has been reduced from 6 to 1 minute in total. In addition to saving time, the portal offers great visibility into order status, real-time stock levels, customer-based pricing, product images and features, deliveries, invoices, payments, and total billed.

Mars provides B2B customers with a seamless e-commerce experience spanning basket creation, checkout, order tracking, pricing and account monitoring. Previously, about 20% of the affiliate’s back-office staff time was spent manually entering sales orders received by phone, email, fax, etc. In addition, Arçelik’s sales representatives had difficulty collecting around 40% of orders from customers geographically further away. Comparing the time a back-office employee spent processing a single transaction before and after the portal, operational workload decreased by approximately 80%.

The MARS portal has already been rolled out to all of its trading partners and has been successful in increasing customer satisfaction, reducing order delivery times, improving data security and contributing to greater efficiency and simplicity for customers.

The portal is operational in the following countries: the United States, Austria, Serbia, South Africa, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, Germany, the Czech Republic, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and in Spain in an initial testing phase.
