– Delta’s efficient power and thermal management solutions take center stage at Electronica 2022
MUNICH, Nov. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Delta, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, will be at Electronica 2022, the world’s leading electronics trade show and conference, to showcase its extensive portfolio of power and thermal management solutions. innovative and energy efficient thermal The offering includes Delta’s 1U power rack for telecom and data center applications, featuring the new 80 PLUS Titanium gallium nitrate (GaN) configurable power supply with greater than 96% power efficiency. Innovative wireless charging solutions developed by Delta, such as the MOOVair wireless charging system for industrial automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and in-vehicle wireless charging for mobile devices, will also be highlights at the show.
Commenting on his presence at Electronica, Sean Tan, Vice President of Power Electronics for Delta Electronics in the EMEA region, said “With the backdrop of the global energy and environmental crisis, there is an increased awareness of the need to conserve energy and use it more efficiently.Electronica is an ideal platform for Delta to demonstrate how its energy efficiency solutions contribute to a more sustainable future. Our team of experts at Electronica looks forward to speaking with customers about the most effective way to address their challenges .”
Solutions for telecommunications and data centers
IT equipment and data centers are essential for all businesses today. To ensure the stable operation of data centers, Delta introduces a highly efficient and reliable 1U power rack with the latest 80 PLUS Titanium (GaN) configurable power supply. The power supply adopts a fully digital control design with GaN technology for optimal efficiency greater than 96% (higher than standard 80 PLUS Titanium) and provides a maximum output of 24 kW when combined in a power rack.
As enterprise server processors and associated technologies continue to increase in power density and performance, this has driven the demand for better power and heat dissipation. Delta’s latest E-series of high performance fans offers improvements across the board in terms of efficiency, vibration, speed, noise reduction, resonance and safety. Designed for the next generation of server architectures and power modules, making them well suited for server, telecom, and IoT applications.
Solutions for industry and renewable energies
Global energy-saving requirements are becoming more stringent, and AC-based fan motors are struggling to keep pace with newer, more efficient commercial heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. In response, Delta has developed electronically commutated (EC) brushless DC motor technology for industrial use. With integrated AC to DC inverters and magnetic rotors, they offer significant energy savings compared to AC motor fans, while maintaining compatibility with the AC input source. Customers can expect energy savings of up to 70% using Delta’s EC fans. They are ideal for renewable energy systems and electric vehicle chargers, battery backup/storage systems, and commercial refrigerator/cold chain applications.
Delta is also introducing its 1kW MOOVair wireless charging system, an innovative industrial charging solution for electrically powered automated industrial vehicles. With a power output of 1,000 W, a maximum efficiency of 93% and contactless power transmission through a gap of up to 20 mm, the wireless charging system offers highly efficient charging for all types of 24 V batteries. / 48 V through built-in profiles or CAN bus control. The system consists of a transmitter connected to AC power and an on-board charging unit connected to the battery.
Mobile device charging solutions
Delta leverages its in-house mobile power supply design expertise to provide high-efficiency in-vehicle USB Type-C and wireless charging solutions for automotive OEMs. Delta’s wireless charger’s free-positioning feature allows a mobile device to be charged regardless of its position and orientation on the charging pad. It also allows charging two devices simultaneously without overheating thanks to advanced active and passive cooling designs. As for Delta’s high power density USB Type-C charger, it offers ultra-fast charging up to 80W per port. Multi-port charging is managed by Dynamic Power Sharing to enhance the user experience by optimizing charge times for all connected devices at the same time.
The growing popularity of computer, communication and consumer electronics products in recent years has led to the need for more efficient charging solutions. As USB PD has become one of the main charging protocols, Delta’s new integrated USB Type-C wall socket will enhance the convenience and charging experience with 65W peak power output and high power density. of 13.1W/inch3 in only 81cc of volume (155g of weight). The product complies with PD 3.0, Surge Category III, and IEC/UL 62368-1 safety standards to provide highly efficient and reliable power charging for various electronics and small appliances. The USB Type C wall socket can be widely applied to home and commercial occasions such as offices, hotels, cafes, and public transportation, including airports, train stations, etc.
