SEOUL, South Korea and SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 8, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — MEDICAL IP, a digital twin-based medical AI solutions company, has announced that MEDIP PRO, a digital twin-based AI analytics software medical imaging and digital twin implementation, is already connected to NVIDIA Omniverse.
Among all software in the world, MEDIP PRO is the first and only case that combines medical imaging based medical software with Omniverse.
The Omniverse development platform is optimized for customizing 3D portfolios and simulating virtual worlds, including digital twins. Omniverse enables interoperability between 3D applications, using the Universal Scene Description (USD), opening up new industry metaverse applications to customers and partners.
MEDIP PRO’s connection to NVIDIA Omniverse enables users to model 3D medical images in real-time in virtual spaces, as well as segment, edit, and design using AI, enabling the expansion of internal human body information into a metaverse without limitations of time or space.
“Last year, we were selected as a Premier Member of the NVIDIA Inception program for our innovative technology that enables all kinds of human structures to be magnified into virtual spaces from medical imaging, and we have been in discussions to connect our technologies with NVIDIA’s,” said Park, CEO of MEDICAL IP. “With Omniverse, users around the world will be able to easily leverage MEDIP PRO to expand medical digital twins in the metaverse, maximizing the competitiveness of our products.”
MEDIP PRO is software that instantly models medical images such as CT and MRI scans and slices organs and lesions using AI to create digital twins of all kinds of anatomical structures that make up the human body and expand them into virtual space. Global competitiveness has also been secured by completing Korean FDA, US FDA and European CE approvals.
Currently, MEDIP PRO is supplied to university hospitals, medical schools, and medical device companies, among others. Many of the best general hospitals in the United States and Korea, such as the Mayo Clinic, UCLA and Arizona State University, Seoul National University Hospital, and Samsung Medical Center, also use it.
Through its connection to Omniverse, MEDIP PRO offers various features such as real-time digital twin sharing, top-tier 3D visualization, virtual surgery, blood flow and epidemiological simulation, AR/VR augmentation medical imaging and engineering analysis.
Park Sang-Joon, CEO of MEDICAL IP, said: “MEDIP PRO is the first Omniverse-developed software to handle medical data, demonstrating its industry leadership in the ‘healthcare metaverse.’ Medical imaging techniques and devices have enabled humanity to acquire information about the human body that cannot be seen with the naked eye, we will lead progress and innovation in various medical fields such as optimized surgery and treatment for individual patients, simulation of drug delivery and monitoring, implementing the information contained in medical images as a digital twin and expanding it into a virtual space.”
