BEIJING, March 29, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Roborock, a global leader in ultra-intelligent home robotics designed to simplify daily life, today announced that it has taken the number one spot in robotic vacuum cleaner sales worldwide, according to new data from Euromonitor. Celebrating its achievements at a global launch event on the eve of its 10th anniversary, the brand also revealed a glimpse of what’s to come in the form of new product lines, while sharing its vision for the future.
Founded in 2014, Roborock owes its success to its long-standing commitment to customer-centric innovation. By offering meaningful solutions that improve everyday life, Roborock has created a truly global fan base, and Euromonitor data confirms that the brand has achieved the number one sales position worldwide for robotic vacuum cleaners[1].
“We are very honored to celebrate this achievement with all of you, which was made possible by the continued trust and support received over the past 10 years.” Mr. Quan, President of Roborock, announced: “Our path to success has been a marathon, not a sprint, as we have always kept in mind our brand ethos of “seeing the long term to do the right thing.” Our unwavering commitment to focusing on delivering true value to our customers is how we have built the brand affinity that has led us to where we are today: firmly on track to become a global leader in the smart home space.”

According to IDC data, Roborock is ranked number one in Turkey and number two in the US in terms of sales, while also ranking first in Germany, Korea and the Nordic countries in terms of shipments in 2023[2 ]. As Roborock’s latest Financial Earnings Report reveals, the brand recorded total revenue of 8.65 billion yuan ($1.22 billion) last year, and total shipments of robot vacuum cleaners exceeded 2.6 million units. This consistent growth across all key markets demonstrates Roborock’s strategic choice to directly address consumer demands and the striving for excellence in user experience is resonating with millions of people around the world.
Despite these successes, Quan recognized that these results were not in themselves the ultimate goal. Globalization is a vital pillar of Roborock’s mission to become a leader in its field. As such, Roborock plans to expand its global presence by introducing more innovative products that meet the unique needs of global users, taking into account the different requirements of various markets and expanding more partnerships around the world, ensuring that Roborock advances in the abroad on a larger scale and at a faster pace.
Meaningful Innovation: Roborock’s User-Centric R&D Principles and Latest Revolutionary Developments
Roborock’s passion for creating value for its consumers drives them to continually seek new technological advances that can solve real consumer problems. From 2019 to 2023, Roborock invested 1.9 billion yuan ($260 million) in research and development. Roborock’s approach of taking a long-term view ensures that R&D teams are encouraged not to look for quick fixes, but rather to focus on innovation that will truly meet the needs of the end consumer, such as addressing key areas such as cleaning capabilities, smart home mapping and navigation, convenience and interconnectivity.
To enhance the cleaning capabilities of its latest range, Roborock has introduced the FlexiArm Design™ Side Brush, an extendable side brush that offers 100% corner cleaning coverage, improving the user experience. When it comes to user satisfaction, offering a hands-free, low-maintenance experience is also paramount. Roborock recently introduced an automatic water drain and refill system, which automatically empties and replaces dirty water with clean water through pipes during mop washing and tank filling.
In addition to advanced hardware solutions, Roborock has always invested heavily in the discovery and implementation of emerging technologies that can improve the functionality and accessibility of its devices. Roborock’s Reactive AI 2.0 obstacle recognition technology can recognize and differentiate between floor and room types, accurately identifying 73 different obstacles to avoid, including floor mirrors and pet items. The Roborock SmartPlanTM feature uses an advanced AI algorithm to intelligently plan and optimize cleaning routes and settings based on user habits and the specific layout of the home, making the cleaning process even smarter and more efficient. The S8 MaxV Ultra is now CSA for Matter certified, and other Roborock products will follow suit in the near future to improve connectivity.
Enriching Roborock’s product portfolio to improve the quality of life of consumers
Concluding the exciting launch, Roborock introduced three exciting new product lines for its portfolio of smart automated devices. Roborock product managers took the stage to present three new robotic vacuum cleaners: the G20S (S8 MaxV Ultra), V20 and P10S Pro.
G20S (S8 MaxV Ultra) launched to great acclaim at CES 2024 and is Roborock’s most technologically advanced all-in-one cleaning solution to date. A highly intuitive device, the G20S is equipped with the FlexiArm Design™ side brush, a unique robotic arm that enables full corner cleaning capabilities and an additional side mop for edge cleaning, along with Reactive AI 2.0 obstacle recognition, a built-in smart voice assistant and RockDock® Ultra, which automatically maintains the robot cleaner using hot water and heated air with smart mop washing and mopping capabilities. The G20S (S8 MaxV Ultra) will be available for purchase worldwide starting in April, with a retail price of $1,799.99/€1,499.
The V20, which will initially debut in China, will be the world’s first robotic vacuum cleaner equipped with a dual-vision 3DToF solid-state LiDAR navigation and obstacle avoidance system, which observes the reflection of modulated light to offer greater depth accuracy for even more intuitive floor mapping. Featuring an ultra-slim 8.2cm body and equipped with FlexiArm DesignTM corner and edge cleaning, DuoRoller vertical brush and maintenance-free cleaning base, the V20 is set to redefine automated, low-maintenance cleaning.
Finally, the P10S Pro is positioned as the perfect companion for those hard-to-reach places. Combining FlexiArm DesignTM with an extendable side brush and mop, the device provides 100% corner coverage and the ultimate in edge cleaning, even on the toughest surfaces.
These solutions further solidify Roborock’s commitment to meeting the needs of its customers in their fearless pursuit of innovation. Stay tuned for more market-specific launch announcements of these innovations and more.
