HAVANA, February 28, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Club Habana once again lived a great evening with the celebration of the Welcome Night of the XXIII Habanos Festival, which will take place until next Friday, March 3, in La Havana. Dedicated to the renowned Habanos, S.A. brand, Montecristo, and led by Darianis Palenzuela, the star moment of the night was experienced with the launch of the new Montecristo Open Slam vitola (52 x 142 mm long).
This new product, with an even format and unique dimensions within the brand’s vitolario, will form part of the Open Line, the oldest in Montecristo and one of the most appreciated and recognized by Habanos lovers, and will soon be arriving on the markets in packages of 15 and 20 units.
Thus, it joins the four sizes – Eagle (54 x 150 mm long), Regata (46 x 135 mm long), Master (50 x 124 mm long) and Junior (38 x 110 mm long) – which were already part of a Line originally conceived to satisfy those fans who enjoy outdoor pleasures.
But this was not the only novelty that was revealed during this first night of the XXIII Habanos Festival. The more than 1,200 people present were introduced to the world premiere of the renewed image of the Open Line, both for the logo and for the rings, in which the color green takes on greater prominence without neglecting the characteristic yellow of the Montecristo brand . Slam from the Montecristo Open Line will be the first vitola to incorporate this innovative visual identity. The rest of the references of the Line will be incorporated as the stock runs out.
Before doing so, the Co-Presidents of Habanos, S.A., Maritza Carrillo González and Luis Sánchez-Harguindey Pardo de Vera, wanted to have a few words of gratitude to the fans, distributors and professionals of the world of Habano for their support, perseverance and work that they have provided to Habanos, S.A. during the pandemic.
MUSIC AND SHOWS FOR EVERYTHING
How could it be otherwise, good gastronomy, music and entertainment were not absent either. The Teatro fusion-mime group and the musical artists DJ Leo Milano, Circo de Cuba, Yarima Blanco, Yanet Valdés, Mónica Mesa and Máquina Perfecta were in charge of animating a night in which a drone show illuminated the sky of Havana to enjoy everyone there. The renowned director of photography, director and cameraman for film, television and video, Alejandro Pérez, with his project Vitrola Cuban Mix, was in charge of closing the first night of the Festival.
That same night, the nominees for the 2022 Habanos Awards were announced: Danny Abadí, Alain Proietto and Blanca Alsogaray, in the Business category; Gloria de la Caridad Rodríguez, Reyniel Lázaro Rojas Medina and Yoandry Rodríguez Porras, in the Production category; and Jasim Ahmed, Yukio Kawashima and Juan Jesús Machín, in the Communication category. The names of those who will finally be the winners will be known on the last day of the Festival, during the Gala Night.
