– OPEC Fund 2023 Development Forum: Unlocking synergies and financing opportunities for sustainable development
VIENNA, June 15, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The OPEC Fund for International Development (the OPEC Fund) will host its second Development Forum on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Vienna, Austria, with the participation of Bank directors African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, the Agence Française de Développement, Rémy Rioux, the Islamic Development Bank Group, Muhammad Al Jasser and the Director General of the OPEC Fund, Abdulhamid Alkhalifa in an opening conversation on the future of development finance .
Addressing global development challenges under the overarching theme “Boosting Resilience and Equity”, forum discussions will focus on opportunities to better finance sustainable development and ensure transformative impact. Other hot topics on the agenda include sustainable food systems, innovative climate solutions, and partnerships and policies that put people and planet first. The keynote address will be given by Frannie Léautier, CEO of the pan-African firm SouthBridge Investments.

The OPEC Fund Development Forum brings together government leaders, ministers, heads of institutions, representatives of multilateral development banks, international organizations and private sector stakeholders.
