Barcelona, ​​November 6, 2023.- Puig, a global leader in the beauty and fashion industry based in Barcelona, ​​has expanded its headquarters in Barcelona with the opening of a second building next to the existing one: the complex will now have , therefore, with the Torre Puig-T1 and the new Torre Puig-T2. The new building is located at Plaza Europa 34 in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, halfway between Barcelona’s Josep Tarradellas-El Prat airport and the city center, an area that has established itself as one of the economic drivers of the area. metropolitan.

The new tower has been designed by the prestigious architecture studio GCA Architects and has a unique design that highlights a glass surface and a dynamic volume composed of four superimposed cubes. This unique structure generates several terraces from which visitors and employees can enjoy a panoramic view of the modern urban skyline that surrounds the building. The tower, with an area of ​​more than 21,000 square meters, has 20 floors, six smart elevators and three parking floors with charging stations for electric vehicles. Its versatile interior design also offers diverse space solutions and cutting-edge technologies, to provide dynamic and collaborative work environments that foster creativity and innovation in today’s hybrid employee work model. Its exceptional sustainability features underpin energy efficiency of the building and make it possible to offset the environmental footprint of its construction process. For example, the property has its own solar thermal and photovoltaic energy production systems, capable of offsetting 25% of the building’s operational carbon footprint. All waste generated during its construction has been sent to authorized management plants for treatment and recovery, so no waste has reached the landfill. Thus, the company takes another step towards achieving its circular economy objectives.

The building has also received LEED Gold certification with a score of 71/100, which was awarded following an environmental impact assessment in terms of site sustainability, water and energy efficiency, use of renewable energy, facility maintenance and environmental quality. inside.

The Puig-T2 Tower will provide ample space to accommodate the company’s growing workforce, which includes around 485 employees of the Operations Hub and its Innovation Center. It has laboratories equipped with the latest technology to facilitate innovation in the creation of new products. The Puig-T1 Tower already houses around 500 employees from the Corporate Office, the central offices and support functions, the brand teams and the perfume center, as well as those who work in the Spanish market.
