SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 is scheduled to begin this spring of this year, where Tokyo’s innovation creators will gather to share their urban growth and sustainability solutions
Tokyo (Japan), January 30, 2024.- As a prelude to this event, which promotes Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo (SusHi Tech Tokyo) and the creation of new sustainable value, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is pleased to launch the ‘Virtual Edo-Tokyo Project’, which uses the metaverse to bring the wonders of Tokyo closer to the world.
100 days before the start of SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024, on Thursday, January 18, the virtual Edo-Tokyo project was presented. The launch featured Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and MATSUMURA Sayuri, who presented this metaverse space filled with Tokyo attractions. Governor Koike then gave a virtual speech through her avatar in the metaverse.

· The cultural diversity and many attractions of Edo-Tokyo will be present in much of the content, including a virtual walking tour of Edo’s most important symbol, Edo Castle.
· Visitors of all ages will be able to participate in activities such as work experience simulations.
