Luis Felipe Batista, 21, of Perth Amboy Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office
PERTH AMBOY — A church volunteer has been accused of improperly touching a teenager on multiple occasions at the Holy Trinity Church, police said.
Luis Felipe Batista, 21, of Perth Amboy, was released Wednesday with a summons following his arrest on the third-degree charge stemming from the alleged incidents in the fall of 2015, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said in a release.
Batista, who was 19-year-old at the time, had volunteered a hall monitor during CCD classes at the parish for more than five years, according to Carey.
He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, the release said.
