Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of White House press secretary Sean Spicer on "Saturday Night Live" was inspired, according to fans of the cutting sketch. And other female comics apparently found it inspiring.

Intrigued by the idea of women playing the guys in President Donald Trump’s inner circle (a dynamic that reportedly bothers POTUS), the Trump antagonist Rosie O’Donnell promptly suggested herself as the perfect woman for the job of playing White House adviser Stephen K. Bannon. And now Margaret Cho has another casting idea in that vein: She could play HUD Secretary Ben Carson.

"Do you need someone for Ben Carson, I’ve literally been practicing how to hold full conversations while sleeping," she tweeted on Tuesday, calling on O’Donnell and "SNL" to take note.

No word from the "SNL" camp, but her idea at least got the attention of O’Donnell, who tweeted back, cc-ing the NBC sketch comedy show: "yo cho — they call — we show".
