Commerzbank announced on Friday the removal of 4,300 positions and the closure of 200 branches as part of a wider plan of reorganization.

The German bank has also announced that it was seeking buyers for its Polish subsidiary mBank, and that it would absorb Comdirect, a subsidiary of online brokerage.

These measures will be discussed on the 25 and 26 September this year at a meeting of the supervisory board, also said the bank.

in Parallel to the removal of 4,300 positions, 2.000 will be created in “strategic sectors”, which brings to 2,300 the number of deletions net.
