Tatiana Cames was one of two people who were issued fines, according to a story in Monday’s New York Post. After the story appeared, Cames said that Compass told her it wanted to part ways. That same day, the firm officially removed itself from Cames’ broker license, according to the Department of State.

Cames disputed the fines, which total $5,000, saying that the units in question were being rented out legally. She plans to hire an attorney to dispute the charges at a city hearing scheduled for March.
Compass confirmed Cames is no longer with the company, but declined to comment further.
