MADRID, 18 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Commission for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation of the Congress of Deputies will debate this Tuesday a non-legal proposal of Esquerra Republicana (ERC) to transfer the management of the Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (Perte) to the autonomous communities in the term of one month.
The ERC proposal, to which Europa Press had access, also proposes that in one month the management of the unallocated amounts of the Electric and Connected Vehicle Perte be transferred to the autonomous communities that request it, with the aim of guaranteeing that they arrive capillarly to the projects that are transforming.
The group considers that the current application of the European Next Generation EU funds in Spain is not achieving the desired objectives, according to the execution figures of the different calls of the Perte. In particular, and given its strategic nature in the Catalan economy, the group highlights the management of the unallocated resources of the Next Generation funds dedicated to the automotive industry.
The republican formation points out in its initiative that after the first call of the Perte VEC, of the almost 3,000 million euros collected, only 30% of the budget has been distributed. This “very low” execution figure has caused companies in the sector, unions and employers to lament for months the slowness in granting aid to electric vehicles.
For ERC, it is “essential” that the autonomous communities manage the funds to guarantee a greater degree of efficiency of the European funds so that they successfully reach the entire productive fabric.
Ultimately, ERC recalls that European funds represent an opportunity to transform those strategic sectors of the economy. Thus, in order to achieve this goal, it is “essential to ensure that these funds reach the business fabric and guarantee an equitable distribution among companies in the sector.”
