Charged is Jeremy Sullivan, no age provided, of the 1300 block of Main Street.

Sullivan at 11:18 a.m. Dec. 1 allegedly placed the beef tenderloin and lobster tails in a shopping cart at the Wegmans at 5000 Wegmans Drive, Hanover Township, Northampton County. He then attempted to leave through the cafe exit without paying, Colonial Regional police said.

When a loss prevention officer tried to stop Sullivan, he abandoned the shopping cart with the food on the front sidewalk and ran to a blue Chevrolet Cavalier, according to police.

He then fled in the vehicle, which police said didn’t have visible registration information.

Police released store surveillance footage depicting images of the thief and a tipster alerted police to Sullivan’s whereabouts, authorities said. Police learned Sullivan had a lengthy history of thefts and was on state parole.

Sullivan is charged with theft. He was arraigned Thursday before District Judge James Narlesky, who set bail at $2,000. Court records indicate Sullivan is incarcerated at Lehigh County jail.
