HIGHLAND PARK — Police are seeking a man who approached a woman Sunday evening, forced her to walk around the corner and assaulted her.
The attack occurred around 5:30 p.m. near South 1st Avenue and Johnson Street, police said. The man forced her to walk around the block to Harper Street, where he assaulted her.
Police did not say whether the man was armed in the community notification about the incident. No description of the attacker was provided.
Highland Park police declined to provide any further details on the incident, referring the matter to the county prosecutor’s office, which could not immediately be reached for comment on Monday.
The incident remains under investigation.
