Vaccination of children aged six months to five years with Spikevax serum begins Monday, after the favorable opinion of the Committee on Immunization of Quebec (CIQ).

Moderna’s vaccine offered in a “reduced dosage” has already been approved by Health Canada, since July 14.

Parents can therefore make an appointment on the Clic Santé portal, said Quebec public health.

An interval of more than two weeks between the two doses of the vaccine is recommended by the health authorities.

On the other hand, for immunocompromised children from six months to four years old, the CIQ suggests the injection of three doses of the Spikevax vaccine.

These injections must be given with an interval of four weeks or more between each dose, it was added.
