The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations has fallen slightly over the past 24 hours and has remained below 1,500 since Friday.
The province thus reported four new hospitalizations in its report on Tuesday, bringing to 1,351 the number of Quebecers who occupy a hospital bed due to COVID-19.
The number of people in intensive care has also decreased compared to the previous day (47, -9), while three more deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
In addition, 417 new infections were reported among Quebecers with access to the screening center, and 183 positive rapid tests were self-reported during the day on Monday. According to the Ministry of Health and Social Services, nearly 4,014 health care workers are absent due to the virus (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.).
For its part, Ontario reported 81 more hospitalizations, for a total of 890, while the number of people in intensive care increased slightly compared to the previous day (157, 5).
The most populous province in the country has also recorded an additional death linked to COVID-19 and reported 1,287 new cases detected with a PCR test.
