An Allentown couple is facing charges after prosecutors say a 13-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after drinking at least 10 shots of vodka at their city home.
Charles Younger, 38, and Michelle Edwards, 32, who live at the same address in the 1900 block of Union Boulevard, were arraigned Friday on child endangerment and related charges.

Prosecutors said Allentown police and EMS were called the night of Jan. 7 to the couple’s address for an unconscious 13-year-old girl. Younger and Edwards had left the home when police and EMS personnel were called, according to prosecutors.
The victim, who is only identified by the initials J.E., was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital, where she was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .32. The girl was then flown via helicopter to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
Police said a 15-year-old girl was the home at the time of the drinking, and admitted drinking alcohol supplied by Younger.
The girl reportedly told police the 13-year-old drank at least 10 shots of vodka within a two-hour time frame. Edwards bought the vodka and the girl was with her at the time, police said.
Edwards woke up in the night to attend to the younger girl after she had vomited, but did not call EMS, police said. Prosecutors did not say who called police.
Edwards is charged with a single count of child endangerment, and was released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
