A driver lost control Friday afternoon on Nazareth Pike (Route 191) and took out a utility pole before continuing about 75 yards through a yard, Colonial Regional police said.
The male, who was not immediately identified, was tested at the scene for possible alcohol impairment before being taken to an area hospital, police Sgt. George Cuchran said.
The driver was the lone occupant of the Ford Fusion that crashed while headed north on Route 191 between Christian Springs Road and Jandy Boulevard in Lower Nazareth Township.

The crash briefly closed the road, and Met-Ed responded to repair the damage to its lines. The utility was not reporting a significant outage following the crash.
The sedan was towed.
