CF Montreal midfielder Ahmed Hamdi has been selected by the Egyptian national team and will take part in their camp, which runs until June 14.

Egypt is preparing to play two qualifying duels for the African Cup of Nations, Saturday against Guinea, in Cairo, then June 9 against Ethiopia, a match to be played in Malawi. An international friendly match could also be added to the Pharaohs’ schedule.
Since his arrival with CF in 2021, Hamdi, 24, has played 29 regular season games in MLS, accumulating 1,140 minutes of play and collecting two goals and an assist.
The Montreal team will play its next meeting on June 18 against Austin FC.
