The Ibex 35 has accelerated towards the mid-session, registering an increase of 1.47% compared to Wednesday, standing at 9,231.4 points at 12:10 p.m., on a day marked by the meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the presentation of Banco Santander results.

On Wednesday, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell warned that interest rates will likely be raised two more times this year to tame high inflation. This Thursday, it is expected that the ECB will also undertake a rise in the price of money.

For its part, Banco Santander has reported that in 2022 it obtained an attributable net profit of 9,605 million euros, 10% compared to 2021 and a historical record for the entity.

Most of the values ​​were positive towards the middle of the session, led by Grifols ( 6.30%), Santander ( 5.51%), Fluidra ( 4.93%), Amadeus ( 3.22%), Unicaja Banco (3.22%) and BBVA (2.39%).

On the other hand, the only negative prices were those of Repsol (-0.97%), Mapfre (-0.54%), Iberdrola (-0.37%), Acerinox (-0.18%), Red Eléctrica (-0.12%) and Endesa (-0.08%).

Regarding the rest of the European markets, the German DAX has advanced 1.48%, while the French CAC40 has processed 0.58% and the Italian FTSE MIB has risen 0.70%. On its side, the Euro Stoxx 50 has grown by 1.13%, while the British FTSE 100 has registered a rise of 0.61%.

The Brent barrel has registered a fall of 0.25% in its price, to 82.62 dollars, while the West Texas Intermediate has fallen 0.10%, to 76.33 dollars.

In the debt market, the yield on the Spanish bond with a ten-year maturity stood at 3.230%, which represents a slight decrease compared to 3.281% on Wednesday. Thus, the Spanish risk premium has fallen by two basis points, to 97.9 integers.

In the currency market, the euro has settled at 1.0993 dollars, in line with the exchange rate on Wednesday.
