MADRID, 25 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Elecnor has given approval for the sale of Enerfin, Elecnor’s renewables subsidiary, to the Norwegian group Statkraft for 1.8 billion euros, as reported by the company to the National Stock Market Commission this Thursday. (CNMV).

The operation, announced last December, has been supported by 99.99% of the share capital present and represented at the meeting.

With this acquisition, one of the large renewable operations announced in Spain in 2023, Statkraft takes a ‘giant’ step in its growth in the Spanish market and in Brazil in ‘green’ energies.

Enerfin’s renewable platform includes 1,500 megawatts (MW) in operation and construction and a solid portfolio of projects in different stages of development globally.

Statkraft, the first renewable producer in Europe and leader in the PPAs market, consolidates itself with this acquisition as the largest renewable producer in Europe and enters the ‘top ten’ of wind producers in Spain, which perfectly complements its extensive portfolio solar in the country.

In Spain, with the incorporation of Enerfin, its renewable portfolio increases by 1,600 MW and its installed capacity reaches 650 MW. The joint production of the renewable plants of both companies is enough to supply the average annual consumption of more than 450,000 Spanish families.

In addition, the purchase of Elecnor’s renewable subsidiary also places the Norwegian company among the top three wind producers in Brazil, with 1,500 MW of installed capacity.
