MADRID, 6 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Esther Koplowitz has increased her stake in FCC to 4.64% of the capital, which is a new maximum for the businesswoman since the Mexican magnate Carlos Slim took control of the company.
According to the records of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the increase responds to the delivery of shares as part of the scrip dividend and the redemption of own shares carried out by the company in recent months.
Until June 2020, Koplowitz held a 20% stake in the construction company, but the cancellation of a debt of 843.4 million in favor of Slim reduced this figure to just 4.56% of the capital.
This operation was part of the takeover by the Mexican of the company in 2015, concluding with this transaction and allowing Slim to increase his participation to 76.6% at that time.
After the same delivery of shares and redemption of treasury stock, the businessman increased his presence in the company’s capital to 71% a few weeks ago through his company Control Empresarial de Capitales, which adds to the 11.3% that he controls independently. direct.
On his side, Koplowitz now owns 21.2 million shares, which are valued at current market prices (FCC is currently trading at 11.86 euros) at 251.4 million euros.
