Aspinwall council will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the St. Scholastica Pastoral Center off of Brilliant Avenue to consider shifting use of grant funding to a project to reconstruct Eastern Avenue.

The meeting was moved from the municipal office due to expected crowd size, officials said.

Council at the meeting is expected to vote to use a $940,000 state grant to turn Eastern Avenue into a shared access to the proposed Riverfront 47 commercial development and Aspinwall Riverfront Park. The money was originally slated for upgrades at the Waterworks Drive entrance to the park.
