The output of glyphosate will be conducted to 80% on the first of January 2021, said Friday the minister of Agriculture, in the wake of the remarks of Emmanuel Macron, admitting that it would be “impossible” to completely eradicate the use of the herbicide on that date. “We said : ‘we will do everything to get out in three years’.

Now, is it possible to say ‘there will not be any more, of glyphosate in three years’ ? Impossible,” said the president during a debate with citizens, to Bourg-de-Péage (Drôme).

“The goal of Emmanuel Macron output of glyphosate in the first January 2021 is the policy objective. We will reach it I think for 80 % of French agriculture,” said Friday on France 2 Didier Guillaume. “If we arrive more quickly so much the better, if we do not succeed, the president of the Republic has always said (that) we will not let anyone without a solution.”

“My goal as minister of Agriculture and Food, is to accompany the transition of agriculture and to ensure that it happens glyphosate”, he added.
