MADRID, 4 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Funcas has highlighted the “resistance” of the Spanish labor market, despite the drop in affiliation data and the increase in unemployment in August, in a context marked by the slowdown.
In a statement, Funcas pointed out that the Spanish labor market continues to create employment in August at a rate “similar to that of July”, but “much lower than that observed in spring.”
Likewise, he stressed the resistance of employment in the industry, despite the weakening indicated by the activity indicators, and the strong growth of foreign affiliates, which has maintained an intense rhythm throughout the year, and in August it has even accelerated . However, it has warned of the “deceleration” in the rate of growth of employment in the services sector.
In the case of the number of registered unemployed, from Funcas they have warned of the difficulty of making historical comparisons, given the increase in workers with permanent-discontinuous contracts.
