Grenergy separates the positions of president and CEO

The board of directors of Grenergy will propose to the next general meeting of shareholders, which will be held on May 7 at first call, the appointment of David Ruiz de Andrés as executive president of the company and Pablo Otín as CEO.
Grenergy has agreed to separate the positions of president and CEO, which until now were held by David Ruiz de Andrés, founder and main shareholder of the company, as reported this Friday by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CMMV).
Thus, the Grenergy board has agreed to propose the appointment of Pablo Otín Pintado, current director of operations (COO), as the company’s new executive director.
If the general meeting agrees on the aforementioned appointment of Otín Pintado as executive director, he would become the new CEO of Grenergy and would be in charge of the company’s operational divisions, which include development, construction and operation. of its renewable assets.
For his part, David Ruiz de Andrés would maintain the position of executive president of Grenergy and would continue to lead the corporate areas and strategic decisions of the company.
Both the CEO, the management committee and all corporate areas will continue to report to David Ruiz de Andrés, the company has specified.
Grenergy has detailed that with this move “it highlights its commitment to best practices in governance and transparency, the company’s strategic axis.”
If approval is obtained during the meeting, the board of directors would be made up of a total of nine directors: David Ruiz de Andrés, Pablo Otín, Ana Peralta, Rocío Hortigüela, Ana Plaza, Florentino Vivancos, María Merry del Val, Nicolás Bergareche and Antonio Jiménez.
