MADRID, 29 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Grenergy has signed a long-term power sale agreement (PPA) with an international utility company in Chile for the 241 megawatt peak (MWp) Gran Teno solar plant, as reported by the company this Thursday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The energy company has explained that the ‘utility’ has an Investment Grade credit rating and has a presence in the Chilean market, while this PPA will produce approximately 140 gigawatt hours per year (GWh/year) for a period of 12 years, which will begin with the start-up of the plant.

Grenergy has highlighted that this PPA increases the contracted energy of the Gran Teno solar park and that between the two sales agreements the Chilean park would reach 285 gigawatt hours per year (GWh/year) of contracted energy.

In addition, the company has explained that it estimates that the park will come into operation in December of this year and that it will generate 477 gigawatt hours (GWh) of energy each year, enough to supply electricity to 136,794 homes, with a saving of 147,011 tons of dioxide. of carbon per year.

With its commissioning, the Gran Teno park joins the more than 50 plants that the Spanish company has connected in Chile in recent years, this country being its main market and where it is positioned as the operator with the most connected plants.
