The governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, anxious to prevent a new night of riots, had warned that protesters would be in a “very dangerous situation” if they violated again the curfew. So far the security forces, backed by soldiers of the national Guard, are rather kept in withdrawal, first so as not to inflame the climate, then because they were not in sufficient number, has been recognized by the authorities.
