The government of u.s. president Donald Trump discussed the possibility to hold a new nuclear test, for the first time since 1992, wrote Saturday in the Washington Post on the basis of statements of a senior official and two former officials close to the deliberations.
The issue would have been raised at a meeting last may 15, during which senior officials of the key national security services were present. The meeting took place after government officials have accused Russia and China of conducting nuclear tests. These two countries deny this and the irrefutable evidence is lacking.
