A delegation from the Spanish engineering company Intecsa has met with the planning and design division of the Chinese CRRC with the aim of seeking synergies and commercial ties for new urban mobility and passenger train projects in both Latin America and the Middle East. as well as the expansion of the presence of both companies in these markets.
In this way, the new alliance would be exploring collaborative railway projects in Mexico, Colombia and Saudi Arabia, both for cargo and passengers, as reported this Monday by the Spanish firm in a press release.
Specifically, this operation occurs within the framework of the preparation of the executive project for the expansion of Lines 4 and 6 in Monterrey (Mexico) prepared by Intecsa in collaboration with the Chinese giant, in charge of manufacturing the monorail system.
The Intecsa team has expressed its commitment to developing a strategic alliance between both companies.
Intecsa partner Héctor Di Bonaventura explained that the international market represents more than 70% of the Spanish firm’s annual turnover, “so a strategic partner like CRRC presents important competitive advantages.”
“We trust that it will be the beginning of a relationship that will bear fruit very soon,” Di Bonvanetura detailed.
