Police officers from the Jersey City police Bomb Squad and Emergency Service Unit investigated inside a Vroom Street building today.
It is believed that police were alerted to a text message that said a person was possibly going to hurt themselves with an explosive device inside the multi-unit building, said Joe Shine, a freelance photographer for The Jersey Journal, who was at the scene.
Authorities arrived at 11 a.m. and cleared the building at about 1:15 p.m. The multi-unit building is at the corner of Vroom Street and Van Reypen Avenue.
