Initially it starts with 17 pharmacies in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Alicante and León
MADRID, 8 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Just Eat, the food delivery platform at home, and Luda Partners have reached an agreement so that Spanish pharmacies can sell and distribute their parapharmacy products through the ‘app’ in the home service market, as reported in a statement.
Specifically, this alliance begins with the launch in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Alicante and León, and will later be available to Luda pharmacies that want to join the project in other provinces.
Currently, more than 3,200 pharmacies in Spain can sell their parapharmacy products ‘online’ thanks to Luda Partners.
The delivery platform has stressed that this agreement in Spain is one of the first made by Just Eat Takeaway.com in Europe.
In this way, a wide catalog of first-aid kit, baby food, hygiene and cosmetic products, among other parapharmacy categories, is made available to customers of the delivery platform through this service, which is incorporated into the current food delivery services. and shopping cart.
Consumers will be able to consult from the Just Eat ‘app’ the parapharmacy catalog of the nearest pharmacy based on their location and without the pharmacy having to make any type of reduction or discount on the price.
Once the purchase is formalized, the pharmacy only has to put the product in a bag to deliver it to the delivery person. In this way, pharmaceutical establishments do not compete on price and are not required to invest in web positioning.
Just Eat has specified that this agreement exclusively contemplates the sale of parapharmacy products and the collection and delivery service from the pharmacies themselves to the customers’ homes.
The platform opens this new business vertical, which is launched as part of the company’s strategy in the food sector and underlines the commitment to offer the best service and the best offer.
The co-founder of Luda Partners, Luis Martín Lázaro, has welcomed this alliance with Just Eat. “This new synergy places pharmacies in a leading position to compete in the ‘online’ market with practically immediate deliveries. Pharmacies can be sure that the traceability of shipments and the physical means used by the couriers respect the highest standards of quality,” he said.
For his part, the general director of Just Eat Spain, Íñigo Barea, has highlighted this new commitment of the platform. “Our extensive delivery network, our experience in last-mile logistics and our commitment to strict compliance with the regulatory framework, puts us in a unique position to be able to deliver any product that consumers need when they demand it. This agreement with Luda to offer our users parapharmacy products is a new path towards the diversification of products available in our ‘app'”, he indicated.
